"Remmy" Strong City
Remmy is my personal horse. He is a 21 year old OTTB he has been with me for 9 years and battling cancer for almost 5. We've been through a crazy life together and he has beat the odds. He has had multiple surgeries for his CA and was given 6 months to a year....well almost 3 years later he is still here and fighting! He is one of the strongest and most resilient horses I've ever met. So many people could learn so much from him.…Remmy is one of the favorites, every horse that comes to Misfit Farm seems to gravitate and cling to Remmy for comfort. He is a huge asset to the sanctuary and helping the horses find their place in the herd.
Mikey Pony
Mikey Pony
Mikey 30+ year old mini gelding with one eye who came to the sanctuary with two other minis when their elderly owner could no longer care for them properly. Since his arrival he has been cared for by our awesome vet team and has really packed on the pounds. He is the sweetest little man around and would live in your skin if he could! He will live out his final days here at the sanctuary!

This little man was about 5 years old when he came to the farm, he was rescued by another rescue with a small herd of donkeys sadly he was loosing his vision and was too dangerous to be adopted to the public a friend of mine and the owner of the rescue asked if I'd take him as it was the only place she felt comfortable sending him due to his issues, and I couldn't say no. Ponkey will live out his life in sanctuary with his herd.
BUDDY
Buddy - AMBASSADOR and Sanctuary Resident
Buddy was purchased from the dealer himself as an auction intercept! Buddy is a half blind Dutch Harness cross gelding, he arrived extremely fearful of everyone. It's clear he has suffered some severe abuse. You couldn't even touch him when he arrived and if you did his entire body shook so hard you could feel the ground move...Buddy spent his late summer/fall months here at the sanctuary in a training program while competing in a hunter pace series one of which he took second place! He will continue his training after his winter break. Buddy earned himself a home here with me forever at the sanctuary as a permanent resident. He is still very fearful of strangers, especially men, but he is such a good nugget that has had a very traumatic past. It wouldn't be fair to uproot his life again when he still struggles so hard to trust. He will live out the rest of his years with me at the sanctuary.

Blackie - Strongman Cam
Blackie is a 21 year old STB gelding, he came to us the end of April from Second Chance Livestock. He spent the last 18 years in the same home with an Amish family who actually took exceptional care of him! Blackie is quite the old man with a strong bossy personality. Under saddle, he has a HUGE motor and one speed, steering and breaks can be optional! He definitely lives up to his registered name "Strongman Cam" Blackie has a lot of training to go through before we determine if he will be an appropriate candidate for adoption!
Flint
"Sambo"
Flint has arrived with us around the end of April 2025. He is currently undergoing extensive rehab before we can determine if he is able to become adoptable.
